Little fox, big ears

fennec fox 1

The fennec fox is the world’s smallest fox and is known for it’s large ears. It is found in the dry, sandy regions of the African Sahara Desert. Their thick fur insulates them against both the heat of the day and the cool of the night. They have fur on the bottom of their feet to prevent burns from the hot sand and to provide traction in loose sand.

My “Fennec Fox” photo has been featured in the “Close-Ups in Nature” group on Redbubble.
