Cotton-top Tamarins

Cotton-top Tamarins

The cotton-top tamarin is a small monkey that can be found in the forests of Columbia. They are social animals, living in small groups with a dominant breeding pair at the top of the hierarchy. More than 75% of their habitat has been lost due to deforestation for agriculture, pasture and dams. They are also under threat from the illegal pet trade.
